KAYP Golf InvitationalSaturday, July 25, 2009Sheaffer Memorial Golf Course This is an outing open to all who want to have fun, fellowship and enjoy a great day of golf! This is a wonderful opportunity for four friends to enjoy a really fun event. Even if you don’t play a lot of golf, a best-ball tourney makes it fun for everybody. We have also included non golfers in this year’s event. This event is a four-person Best Ball contest. Each person will hit and subsequent shots will be from the decided best ball. We will be playing eighteen holes at Sheaffer memorial Golf Course located at 1760 308th Avenue, Fort Madison, Iowa. There will be a shotgun start promptly at 1:00 p.m. We are also adding a walking course this year for the non golfers who would like to participate. All proceeds will be going to support KAYP 89.9 local affiliate of AFR – American Family Radio. What better way to say thank you to our local Christian radio station: playing golf and simultaneously providing financial support to help keep this great ministry alive in the tri-state area. We have room for 22 teams. Each team will also compete for donated prizes with one member of your team guaranteed a competition prize donated from an area business. We are also seeking Hole Sponsors. If you want to sponsor a hole or know a church or business that would like to do so, call Chuck Griffin at 319-754-7889. Hole Sponsorships are $100.00; all proceeds going to KAYP. Hole sponsorships are tax deductible as a charitable contribution to AFR-KAYP. Cost $50.00 per person (includes cart….green fees….tee shirt…and lunch meal before tee off) In addition we have a guest speaker who will offer a short devotion during the lunch.
